What is the difference between the different DS200 filter versions?

The latest firmware for the DS200 (v0.8.918) offers 6 different filters. A brief description of the different filters are provided below:

V1: The original filter provided with the launch version of the DS200. The version of the V1 filter available in the current firmware has been modified to remove several obsolete DNSBLs.

V2: Released in 2006, this was first filter update offered to the DS200 and the first filter to be based on the new genetic algorithm based filter generation technology.

V3: Released in 2007, the V3 filter was the most recent filter available to general DS200 customers until March 2009.

V4: Developed in 2008 and provided only to beta customers, the V4 was never published as a general release due to acquisition activities at the time.

V5: The V5 filter is a modified version of the V3 filter which removes references to obsolete DNSBLs.

V6: The V6 filter is a modified version of the V4 filter which removes references to obsolete DNSBLs.

V7: The V7 filter was releases on June 3, 2009. The V7 filter is the most accurate filter released for the DS-200 to date with superior protection against false positives.
